About
Aline Kernan
I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), and am a EMDR and EFT practitioner. I am genuinely warm, calm and compassionate (alongside a sense of humour). I offer a non-judgemental and confidential space allowing you to explore your current or past life experiences, relationships and emotions. Rather than giving you advice on resolving your issues, I act as a guiding companion working collaboratively with you to help you find the strength and answers that lie within you. My aim is not to pressure you to talk about anything you are not ready to, and I will go along with you as slowly and gently as you want.
My special interest lies in supporting those who have suffered severe trauma. For example: childhood abuse (neglect/emotional /physical/ sexual); adult sexual abuse; medical interventions; car accidents; baby or other traumatic loss; religious trauma; trauma resulting from jobs working with the public.
